AS WE ARE---THEN
I have always loved to photograph sculpture. Two years ago I was thinking of starting a new project and thought of the sculptures I have seen and the absence of eyes---and the resulting lack of expression. This in no way has diminished my appreciation for these great works as they appear today. However, on a whim I began to wonder what they would look like if I placed human eyes in them and the series began. It has been fascinating to see these faces and expressions transform and the strange disconnect that has resulted by mixing genders and age.
